We will use 4-6 backdrops at any given location. We’ll try new locations from time to time, but these are our staples. Since light and weather always play a factor, we cannot guarantee backdrops.
Old City/Elfreth's Alley (United by Blue)
United by Blue in Old City makes me so excited. How about headshots down the nation's oldest residential street, Elfreth's Alley? We can also shoot in front of the Fireman's Hall Museum to pick up a little fireman-red color in your backdrops. For super dramatic lighting, there's the El train as it heads over the the Ben Franklin Bridge. So.Many.Rad.Headshot.Options. I freaking love Philly. (Parking isn't bad if you drive, too. Look for meters on 3rd. And don't be alarmed when you see clothes in the storefront. United by Blue is a "clothing cafe".)

City Hall/Center City (Dilworth Park Cafe)
Headshots at City Hall anyone? We will literally be traipsing around the grounds of City Hall taking headshots under the statuesque archways of this 100 year old building. William Penn who designated the plot of land to be our city's center 200 years before it was built will be admiring us from above. Our founding fathers would be proud. (Dilworth Park Cafe is the cafe on the west grounds of City Hall. The metro entrance at the corner of 15th pops up beside it.)

Fishtown (Gryphon Cafe)
Join me at Gryphon for the silkiest light in town. We may shoot in their ancient courtyard which acts as natural softbox or under the El train which has equally dramatic light and fabulous urban shadows. With sky high ceilings, cracked walls and windows everywhere, I'm tempted to shoot indoors too. (Parking is simple, close and available.)

West Philly (Walnut Street Cafe)
This cafe at the bottom of the FMC skyscraper near the University of Pennsylvania is my favorite spot for headshots in West Philly. The cafe is high-end but casual with outstanding French food. But most important is what's outside. The studio quality light from the environs make for the most eye-popping, wrinkle-free headshots! (Street parking is usually available on Walnut, but a ride would be simpler.)

Center City/ Rittenhouse (Plenty Cafe)
Plenty is our Center City location, nearest to Rittenhouse Square. It’s situated on a low key block but don’t let that fool you, you will be floored by your headshots. Be prepared to buy the top package, everyone does. Afterwards, duck into Philly’s classic Monks cafe for lunch: best moules et frites in town.

Real people. Spectacular headshots.
